NEW ARRIVAL!
After many months (14 to be exact) of anticipation, Buddy's debut solo CD is finally available for purchase! Buddy will be officially releasing his CD and debuting the new group, BALSAM RANGE BLUEGRASS, on March 16 at the Haywood Community College Auditorium. The show will start at 7:30pm and admission will be free! So come listen to a stellar line-up of bluegrass musicians and a foot-tappin' night of bluegrass music!
Destined to be a bluegrass classic, this album is a tasteful mix of uncut gems and classic bluegrass tunes, with sentiments ranging from killin' your darlin', reminiscing about the good old days, to getting back on the righteous path. Backed by a stellar instrumental cast that includes Tony Rice (guitar), Marc Pruett (banjo), Adam Steffey (mandolin) and Tim Surrett (upright bass), Buddy's powerful tenor voice soars to unbelievable heights, and his tasty fiddle playing serves as the spice needed to complete the ensemble. After working together on several projects , fellow musicians and friends, Buddy Melton, Marc Pruett, Tim Surrett, Darren Nicholson and Caleb Smith have created a new bluegrass group. The group is calling themselves BALSAM RANGE BLUEGRASS. The group will perform rich rhythmic bluegrass tunes, original and gospel songs. The new band will be playing many public events. Come out and join in the fun.
